The snow crunches under your feet and animal tracks in the white blanket of snow indicate that hares and deer have walked along the same path as you make your way through the fairytale winter landscapes of the Oetztal Valley. Your hostess Andrea is a certified hiking guide. Join her on a guided torch tour, snow shoe walk or winter hike directly from Bichl.

Far away from the the hustle and bustle of everyday life, winter hiking and snow shoe hiking in the Oetztal Valley provide a welcome opportunity to explore nature and restore your inner harmony. There is so much to experience and discover in this landscape covered in pure white. Despite this, everything is shrouded in a majestic tranquillity with only the muffled sounds of this winter world to be heard.

Your snow shoe walk starts out from the car park at Niederthai football ground and leads through the fairytale Tauferberg forest, past the enormous blocks of granite which look as if they have been thrown there by giants. Immerse yourself in the enchanted winter world of Umhausen. From there, the Rosslachgasse leads on to the Kentalweg trail. Take your snow shoes off here and follow the winter footpath via the Hirschberg towards Niederthai. After mastering a steep climb, you will be rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views. Why not stop off at the Bichl snack station and enjoy a snack of bread, Tyrolean ham and cheese prepared by hostess Andrea. You can hire snow shoes free-of-charge from the Guesthouse Bichl.
